  • No matter how beautiful our time on earth is, one we will pass from here to eternity. The Eternal God’s reminder of this temporary world is seen once the Sun rises and sets. What joy it brings at its rising, brightening saddened and downcast faces who have endured the night.

However, as quickly as it comes, so quickly it goes fulfilling its circuit at the Master and Maker’s orders; and the night appears once more. As wonderful as summer is, so quickly it is gone and the winter is here once more to send a message about how temporary this age and time really is.

The sun and moon’s brightness may fade but God’s glory never fades and the place of His presence will never lose its light.

    Isaiah the prophet saw this:

““No more will the sun be your light by day, nor will moonlight shine on you; instead Adonai will be your light forever and your God your glory. No longer will your sun go down; your moon will no longer wane; for Adonai will be your light forever; your days of mourning will end.” ‭(Isaiah)‬ ‭60‬:‭19‬-‭20‬

The book of Hebrews put its like this:

“All these people kept on trusting until they died, without receiving what had been promised. They had only seen it and welcomed it from a distance, while acknowledging that they were strangers and temporary residents on the earth. For people who speak this way make it clear that they are looking for a fatherland. Now if they were to keep recalling the one they left, they would have an opportunity to return; but as it is, they aspire to a better fatherland, a heavenly one. This is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.” (Hebrews)‬ ‭11‬:‭13‬-‭16‬
