BIOGRAPHY
Oluwafunke Oladimeji, born in 1988, is a Fine Arts graduate from Ekiti State University affiliated with Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED). Completing her Bachelor of Education in Fine Arts in 2013, she embarked on an Industrial Attachment at the Universal Studios of Art (USA) in Lagos, Nigeria, where she learned from master artists, sparking her passion for diverse painting techniques.
After her degree, Oluwafunke pursued a two-year internship at the USA, flourishing under the guidance of renowned artist Abiodun Olaku. Recognized for her talent, she became an attaché member of the studio, blending her early works’ influence from Mr. Olaku with a growing independence in style and philosophy.
As a committed member of the Universal Studios of Art, Oluwafunke has showcased her evolving artistry in various group exhibitions and auctions, including notable events like the Affordable Art Auction, Generations series, and international platforms like the Milan Art Fair in Spain (Vangogh Art Gallery, 2023).
Her recent works showcase a distinctive style, characterized by palette knife-generated heavy texturization and exploration of fresh themes, such as ‘The Origin’ and ‘The Spirit of Broad Street.’ Oluwafunke Oladimeji stands as a dedicated full-time studio artist, leaving an indelible mark on the art scene with her captivating creations.
